About Me

I have always loved to cook and it began in both my mother and grandmother's kitchens. I would gather any or all spices and just mix them together. I can honestly say I don't think anyone ever tried my "concoctions," but I wasn't ever asked to stop my creativity! I was always right next to either of them while cooking or baking and l loved every minute of it. I guess it helps to have great cooks as mentors!

Now, 25+ years later, my husband of 2 years hasn't ever turned down anything I've made for dinner, whether it is a new or a favorite recipe. I am a 2nd grade teacher, and even though I don't have any children of my own, they wear me out each day. So, I do understand the meaning of time management. In order to help with this, I make a list each week with my husband (so he can have input), and I shop for the entire week.
This spurred discussions with friends and co-workers, so I thought I would start this blog to not only help me see what I have made and when, but to help others who may be stuck for ideas on what to have for dinner. Happy cooking to all...
