What I Do

Every weekend I try to get the Sunday paper clip coupons, for what we need, not just what we want! (Be on the lookout for good deals--I try to stock up on staples whenever they are on sale.) I'll sit down and make a list for the week. I always include leftovers at least twice a week, because it means two less days of cooking. Sometimes the leftovers are stragetically placed on nights that there may be meetings, classes, or some other activity that keeps me from cooking dinner.
I usually go to Wal-Mart as I get ALL boxed or canned staples there. You can't beat the prices (even though I know they are taking over the world :) ). Then I'll go to our local grocery store to get any specific produce or meat items if I want it a bit fresher! (You can't always find it fresh, unbruised, or underripe at Wal-Mart.)

About every three months I do a bigger shoppping trip to Sam's Club to stock up on things I know we can pre-cook and store in our deep freeze to make dinner even quicker for the night. Mostly, I get chicken or hamburger at Sam's and occasionally I'll buy produce for the week as well. I'll let you know when I do that so your meals can be partially pre-made as well! Trust me, it is a time savor and if you don't have a Food Savor or deep freeze, I'd definitely look into one! I love mine
